This second release of the EOS M50 is nearly identical, with improved autofocus capabilities, the ability to live stream to YouTube via your smartphone's internet connection, and other minor changes.

The Canon EOS M50 Mark II is the successor, but it has many similarities to its older sibling, including:
 

- The same 24.1MP APS-C CMOS sensor and processor
Pictures DIGIC 8
- 10 frames per second continuous shooting
- 4K UHD recording at up to 23.98 fps (with image cropping), FullHD at 60 fps, and HD at 120p for slow motion. Video recordings are limited to 29 minutes 59 seconds per clip
- No Wide C-Log / DR Picture Profile; You can only access Auto, Standard, Portrait, Landscape, Fine Detail, Neutral, Faithful, Monochrome, and User Defined 1-3.
- The camera features a large 3.0 inch touch screen LCD plus 2.36 million dot OLED electronic viewfinder.
- There is a built-in flash popup
- There is a 3.5mm microphone input, but there is still no headphone jack
- The camera uses Canon LP-E12 batteries
- External dimensions and weight are identical: 4.6 x 3.5 x 2.3 / 116.3 x 88.1 x 58.7mm for 13.7 oz / 387g with battery and card

For filmmakers, the Canon EOS M50 Mark II features the same Dual Pixel AF system, but with improvements:

• Eye tracking feature now in photo and video modes.
• Vertical position to photograph content for social media
• Finally, you will be able to access a video signal with a clean (minute) HDMI output for external recording.
• Live broadcasting to YouTube Live via your smartphone's internet connection

The camera has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity to quickly share your content, but this new version allows you to broadcast to YouTube Live via your smartphone's internet connection. You can also use it as a webcam via Canon EOS Webcam Utility, now available for both Mac and Windows.


Price and availability in the market

The camera should be available by the end of November 2020 for only the $ 599 chassis, or $ 699 with the EF-M 15-45mm f / 3.5-6.3 IS STM lens.
