1. Enjoy the scenery before shooting
The first advice professional photographer Michael Sheinblum gives is not to rush to see a new landscape and start taking pictures. During his time behind the lens, he realized that he was getting better photos when he took his time to enjoy and capture landscapes. Whether that means spending an entire day at a site or exploring it beforehand, Scheinblom says it's really important to link to a site in order to get the most out of it in photos.2. Shooting very wide shots
Another common mistake among landscape photographers of landscapes is shooting wide shots. Just because a landscape is beautiful doesn't mean that you include as much of the scene as possible in the photo. You can choose a frame closer in the scene to look more beautiful. The photographer adds with a laugh that he used to shoot with a 14mm lens for a while. And that he was obsessed with shooting those dramatic wide-angle shots.
3. Allow others to control your art
These days, Scheinblum says he rarely shoots with a 14mm lens. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with shooting at scale. But you shouldn't be limited to just wide angles.
It's in our era where social media dominates, says Sheinblum. It's easy to get distracted by what other people are saying about your work.
The photographer confirms that the comments we receive from others are their perception of what they may do for us differently and this is normal. But the photographer chooses his story and the way to communicate it with his own imagination. This does not mean that we prefer to receive praise rather than criticism. But that means avoiding letting what other people think your photos should dictate your personal artistic direction.
Remember here that you are the only backpacker on your trip where you took your photos. Therefore, it is distinctive that you were in that place. It is natural that your photography will progress if you visit the same place later in order to see more beautiful angles in it.

4. Do not compare your work with other people's pictures
And in the age of social media there are thousands of photos by other photographers. It is difficult for you to sit down and observe their pictures and compare them with yours and say why did I not do this ?! Here, I will tell you that even the owner of the picture you liked may say the same thing when viewing other people's pictures.Remember here that you are the only backpacker on your trip where you took your photos.
