Astera has announced the new PixelBrick Light, a battery-powered, multi-purpose spotlight with 5 different beam options.

You can connect more than one PixelBricks light to form groups and create shapes. The PixelBrick light weighs 1 kg (2.2 lbs). Because it is lightweight and compact, it is ideal for a range of applications, such as film, television and theater production.

The light has an internal battery that works for up to 20 hours. It is also rated under IP65. The light consumes 12 watts of power

PixelBricks light features a backlit display with buttons dedicated to color and brightness. There is also a fly track for attaching accessories and a removable bracket.

Like all Astera fixtures, you can control the PixelBricks light via the infrared remote control, wireless DMX, and the app.

Pixelbrick can't be found in stock yet, and there's no word on when it will be or how much it will cost. However, I suppose, given the similar size and power to the AX3 LightDrop, it could feature a similar price point of around €340/$380.
