The new Teradek Serv 4K is a monitoring tool that provides support for both on-premises and cloud-based networks. In fact, the device takes the SDI / HDMI inputs from the camera (up to 4K60) and encodes this video stream into a high-quality signal. Finally, it takes care of distribution to select collaborators and remote team members who have access to the cloud.
According to the company, Serv 4K's setup is easy and its use should result in a very streamlined workflow that maintains the traditional video village approach with a more modern cloud-based solution.
